Palmer Main

Sometimes you want to put two stereo signals on one device, for example if you want two mixers to drive one stereo power amplifier. In practice, this rarely works without ground loops occurring. The Palmer main solves this problem. It mixes two stereo input signals via a resistor matrix, with input pair A being galvanically isolated via a transformer to avoid ground loops. The Palmer main works purely passively. This makes them particularly low-noise and sound-neutral. Thanks to generously sized transformers, it can also process high levels of up to +20 dBu without distortion. The transformers also make it possible to assign input pair A asymmetrically; the output signal remains symmetrical. The passive mode of operation without a power supply makes the Palmer main particularly fail-safe, and the aluminum/steel housing and the XLR sockets are also ideal for the harsh everyday life on stage.
